The course examines the main Ofsted judgement headings and grades, and considers how effective school self-evaluation (supported by robust evidence) is essential. The tutor will outline the inspection process, explore the kind of questions asked by inspectors, discuss useful sources of evidence, and share a range of practical suggestions to help your governing body prepare in advance of the inspector’s call. The aim is to familiarise delegates with the implications of inspection for your school as a whole, and specifically for the governing body as part of the school leadership team. This course is aimed at experienced year 2 teachers. It is similar in content to the course, ‘New to Year 2? Preparing for End of Year Assessment' and so participants should not attend if they have already attended the ‘New to’ course.
