Transition between Early Years and Year 1 is always a crucial time for children, parents, and schools and, under current circumstances, transition of children into Year 1 will be significant challenge for schools. This training and the accompanying guidance materials are designed to support leaders and teachers to reflect on and revise transition processes and provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum in Year 1 for children who have missed out on a significant portion of their Reception year experience.
