This early intervention programme is aimed at narrowing the gap for students with delayed language development enhancing their progress and raising achievement across all areas of the curriculum. Talk Boost is a 10 week intervention designed to support pupils with delayed language development. The programme consists of 3, 30-40 mins sessions per week, for small groups of up to 4 children aged 4-7 yrs in FS and KS1. It is delivered by a trained TA, supported by high quality teaching resources, general classroom back-up activities and a pupil’s book which may be shared with parents and carers.

All professionals working in education settings should be prepared to support pupils on the autism spectrum – and all staff should have a basic awareness of autism and the needs of individual students. This programme, supported by the Department for Education, offers face-to-face training for professionals working across all education settings for pupils aged 5 – 16 years through the Communication and Interaction Service. This programme will form an essential part of your Continuing Professional Development.

It is delivered by a trained EY practitioner, supported by high quality teaching resources, general back-up activities and books which may be shared with the children by parents and carers.
