Code: OPL/18/138 Preparing for End of KS1 Statutory Assessment

This course is aimed at experienced year 2 teachers. It is similar in content to the course, ‘New to Year 2? Preparing for End of Year Assessment' and so participants should not attend if they have already attended the ‘New to’ course. This course will clarify the statutory requirements for KS1 and moderation. It will provide teachers with an opportunity to consolidate their understanding of standards and explore the KS1 SATs. The tutor is the KS1 moderation manager and will be able to discuss any queries with regard to KS1 moderation.

The Safer Recruitment course guides Governors and members of the senior team through the whole recruitment process. Particular attention is paid to ensuring attendees are aware of their responsibilities when recruiting staff including developing person specifications, understanding candidate application forms, developing interview techniques and questions and creating effective induction processes. There are overlaps with the Safeguarding For Governors’ course and together they provide Governors with a clear understanding of how putting the child at the centre of their role, will help protect them. This training is free to governors who's school subscribe to Governor Training, otherwise the cost is £150 per governor
