This course provides training for governors if they wish to be involved in school recruitment or want to know more about recruiting in terms of the safeguarding of children.
It covers all aspects of the recruitment process and is run by the Education Safeguarding Advisory Team.
Due to the nature of this course, it contains upsetting information and firmly places safer recruitment in the context of the safeguarding of children. The training is valid for five years from completion and attendees must join the training on time to receive the certificate
This training is free to governors whose school subscribe to Governor Training, otherwise the cost is £150 per governor. Please be aware that Governor training is moving over to GovernorHub so please do familiarise yourself with the new system.

To better understand hearing loss and difficulties with hearing/ listening in class

To explore good strategies for supporting in class in order to promote access and independence
This is interactive training to enable people from different settings to work together to share and develop good practice.
