Whats Difficult About Maths: Assessment and Tailoring Intervention
This course will give you an understanding of what lies behind maths difficulties with a focus on practical solutions to support children and young people. Based on emerging research, the course will equip teachers to identify the factors causing maths difficulties for a child or young person and then to tailor interventions to meet their needs.
The course is led by the educational psychology service and involves 1 day face to face training and 3 online twilight workshops. The three online workshops are to support planning and evaluation of intervention through discussion and problem-solving. Attendance at all 3 is recommended.
