How confident are you that school curriculum planning achieves the maximum benefit from funding for your pupils? How can your school be more efficient with its funding? Do you compare your school's budget with financial benchmarking? All governors are welcome to attend, but this course is particularly aimed at members of your Finance or Resources committee. The purpose of the session is to inform each governing board of its responsibilities for the management of its school’s budget. This training is free to governors who's school subscribe to Governor Training, otherwise the cost is £150 per governor

The purpose of this course is to provide practical guidance on what governors should know and do to ensure that the school is being run in a safe way and without risk to health. Run by a Local Authority subject expert, the course takes a pragmatic approach to embedding health and safety awareness into school life, without becoming a barrier to the day-to-day business of the school and governing body. Among other things, delegates will consider some of the common myths that exist around health and safety.
