Course aim
To learn how to plan and deliver a successful Early Phonics Programme.
This course aims to increase your knowledge about early language and early phonics. You will be introduced to a range of interactive early phonics games, linked to assessment and planning.
Target audience - all early years practitioners
Pre-course Information
This training is fully funded by Oxfordshire Early Years. However, if you book a place but do not attend the session, and have not cancelled your place via Oxfordshire CPD Online within 48 hours of the start of the training, you will be charged £10.
This session will take place interactively with participants using Microsoft Teams. A meeting request will be emailed to participants

By the end on the training participants will:

  • understand the importance of communication and language in the process of learning phonics

  • have reflected on their own provision for early phonics

  • become familiar with the Letters and Sounds programme (phase one)

  • be able to draw upon a bank of easy to play and adaptable games to motivate children

  • understand how to plan effectively
