Course aim
From September 2018 DTs’ role also extends to Previously Looked After children, who are now adopted or subject to Special Guardianship orders. This session explores some of the particular challenges faced by this group and introduces some resources schools can use to identify and meet their ongoing needs.
The ATTACH Team is a multi-disciplinary therapeutic team (Clinical Psychologists, Senior Practitioners, Educational Psychologist) working with adoptive, special guardianship and foster care families in Oxfordshire. Our work uses attachment theory to understand the needs of children who have been neglected or abused and who no longer live with their birth parents.
