Course aim
The course is essential for all new governors and has been restructured to focus more strongly on School Improvement, reflecting recent changes in education. As a result, it is also a useful refresher for more experienced governors. This training is free to governors whose school subscribe to Governor Training, otherwise the cost is £550 per governor

Delegates require no prior knowledge of governance, but our tutors modify their approach to suit participants needs

The aim is not only to inform delegates of the principles of governance, but also to give practical guidance on how all governors can take part in leading their school, in partnership with their head teacher
