Course aim
The governing board plays a key role in the strategic leadership of any school. This responsibility includes having a clear view of the vision for the school and the direction the school is moving in. The selection and recruitment of the Headteacher to drive this process, is one of the main responsibilities of the governing board and this course will examine the multiple steps involved in this process. This training is free to governors who's school subscribe to Governor Training, otherwise the cost is £150 per governor

This session will:


• Examine the key strategic issues when recruiting the Headteacher for your school


• Consider the roles and responsibilities of governors through the recruitment process


• Review the legal requirements of the appointments procedures.
