Course aim
NVR stands for Non-Violent Resistance, an evidence-based approach to managing serious behaviour problems such as controlling and self-destructive behaviour, truanting and absconding, aggression and violence, and risk-taking. NVR is becoming increasingly popular in the UK as an effective alternative to more traditional behavioural approaches. This session will introduce participants to the principles of NVR, present case studies of work done in partnership with schools, and present opportunities for further training for school staff to embed this approach in schools.
